Ian qualified as a Registered Nurse at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Swindon. Shortly after qualifying he left to complete a course in spinal injuries at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, the National Spinal injuries Centre in Aylesbury, later to return to Swindon to work in the Intensive Care Unit. Ian accepted an appointment at Princess Margaret Hospital as a Charge Nurse on the Main surgical unit, later the Cardiac and Renal unit and finally took charge of the 40 bed main medical unit working with three consultant physicians. Ian also has experience working at the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and Harefield Hospital where he gained experience nursing patients following heart transplantation Ian completed his management training at Swindon College Ian passionately believes in continuous improvement in pursuit of a good quality of life and health for the Grange residents by delivering a consistent & competent service, and by listening to the people who use his service, provided it is appropriate and within the available resources
