Postcards of Kindness at Woodlands Park

Our Woodlands Park home in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, received their first batch of postcards as part of the Postcards of Kindness initiative this week.

Postcards of Kindness is a project that asks members of the public to write and send postcards to residents of care homes across England. While it’s a small gesture, the resulting deliveries bring a great deal of joy and spark lively conversations among the older people who receive them.

Woodlands first postcard was received from a couple based in Harrow, who had edited a picture of the Woodlands Park home into a stunning watercolour image.

The Postcards of Kindness project was originally set up to combat loneliness and isolation across the country, and remind residents that there’s always somebody thinking of them – regardless of where in the world the postcards have come from.
