Welcome to Cedars Care Centre, Barnet

Cedars Care Centre provides specialist care and nursing care to adults over 18, with 24-hour assistance, a welcoming, friendly environment and a dedicated team of fantastic colleagues who are committed to delivering tailored, respectful care to every resident.

Our care centre is situated in Barnet, in a quiet, relaxing setting that is easily accessible from Hertfordshire and London, based in a large, detached period property. We specialise in Dementia care but offer a full range of care assistance, including palliative care, postoperative and respite care, as well as long-term nursing care.

Cedars Nursing Care Home Accommodation

Residents joining us at Cedars for any length of stay are provided with private, comfortable accommodation, with 35 single suites and five companion rooms for couples, all equipped as standard with bathroom facilities.

As a true home-feel care home, we accommodate cats, smaller dogs and visiting pets, acknowledging the positive impact that animal interactions make and ensuring residents with beloved pets do not need to leave them behind.

Every resident is welcome to furnish their space with personal furniture and belongings to make the room familiar and reassuring. Our accommodation is designed with tranquillity in mind, offset by bright and pleasant communal areas such as day rooms overlooking the landscaped gardens and our lounge where we host entertainers, enjoy an afternoon tea or watch a movie together.

During warmer weather, we throw open the French doors to our outdoor terrace, inviting residents to enjoy the fresh air and patio space within a safe, easy-access environment.

Holistic Person-Centred Nursing Care and Lifestyle

Remaining mentally and physically active is an important aspect of life at Cedars Care Centre, and we take great care to get to know every resident, establishing a routine and a thorough understanding of their favourite hobbies, pastimes and preferences.

Popular activities include garden parties, BBQs and arts and crafts sessions, with our raised veg patch a great resource for keen gardeners who wish to grow their own. We regularly accompany residents on cinema trips, organise manicures and beauty treatments, or screen sports matches and events.

The local community is vibrant and diverse, with options such as a day trip to the local park, a short distance away, or a little retail therapy visiting the independent shops dotted along the high street.

Personalised, Professional Catering

Our catering team provides delicious, high-quality meals with a focus on nutrition, dietary needs, texture and taste to ensure meal times are a pleasure, using ingredients and dishes that are ideal for health and well-being.

We respect all religions, faiths and beliefs, and alongside weekly and monthly services, we are always happy to ensure meals and ingredients are consistent with requirements.

Prospective residents, families and loved ones are invited to visit Cedars Care Centre to learn more about the exceptional care we provide.

Customer Feedback

ST_ANNES_FOREST_HEALTHCARE_23092019-19

The transition while moving into a nursing home is a significant change, and we adopt a full, thorough and compassionate assessment process led by our multi-skilled team to verify that our centre is the best option for each resident and to ascertain whether our facilities and nursing care are suited to the individual’s needs.

We commonly support residents and families before their moving-in day to help make everything smooth and stress-free, with a warm introduction to their new accommodation and the team that will provide their care.

Pathways to Cedars are varied but can include a visit to our centre, a referral made directly or via a health professional, and discussions around funding and assistance.

If you are considering Cedars Care Centre, we encourage you to visit us in person to get a feel for the kindness and relationships our wonderful nursing team and care staff foster with our residents, having built a superb reputation we are extremely proud of.

Cedars often has a waiting list, and we advise you to get in touch as soon as you can if you wish to register an interest. Visits are possible at any time, although we recommend giving us a call beforehand to ensure a manager or administrator is on hand to provide a guided tour.
