Belmont Lodge Care Centre – Chigwell

392-396 Fencepiece Road
Chigwell Essex IG7 5DY
United Kingdom

Belmont Lodge is a private, fully equipped residential care centre providing every resident with compassionate, personalised support within a warm, welcoming setting. Our fantastic care teams are on hand 24/7 and specialise in residential care for people over 65. We offer a wide range of services, including post-operative care for residents recovering from a hospital stay, respite care to help family caregivers, and dementia care.

Within our quiet, peaceful centre, there are 40 suites and bedrooms that are modern, relaxing, and light, most with en suite bathrooms for the residents’ personal use. We also host a busy schedule of entertainment, engaging activities, and therapies, making the most of our gardens and patio during warmer weather and inviting friends and family to visit their loved ones and join in with special occasions and events.

Specialist Residential Dementia and Long-Term Care

Our focus is on creating an environment that is safe and supportive, encouraging residents to furnish their space according to their preferences. We know that photographs, mementoes, soft furnishings, and familiar possessions can positively impact many people with conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Alongside our accommodation, we offer five day rooms for communal activities and dining, a beauty salon, a well-stocked library of books and DVDs and tranquil reading nooks for residents who prefer a restful afternoon. All of the facilities and amenities here at Belmont Lodge are supported by highly skilled carers, who ensure residents are happy and content and have autonomy over how they choose to spend their time.

High-Quality Care Facilities, Activities and Visiting Therapies

We believe that stimulating activities are key to an excellent quality of life, and we are passionate about the value of maintaining hobbies and interests. Our lounges are often central hubs where residents watch movies and sports events on a widescreen TV or gather for catered meals on the patio overlooking the gardens.

Carers are delighted to welcome residents on trips and excursions outside of the care centre, with all provisions made to assist with mobility and transport. Options such as a visit to the local high street to browse the independent shops or a morning at the nearby park are popular, particularly during the spring and summer. Friends and family members are also often invited to join us for celebrations and festivities throughout the year, with a superb calendar offering diverse entertainment.

Fresh Nutritious Catering for Care Centre Residents

Meals and dining are important for all residents, whether an individual has a specific preference or flavours they most enjoy or has nutritional and dietary requirements to support good health. We partner with a professional catering team who manage all requests, specialising in high-quality, fresh, tasty meals.

Customer Feedback

Relocating to a residential care centre can be a complex time. Residents benefit from sensitive support and reassurances that the care, private accommodation, and assistance we offer are the right match for their needs. Our coordinators liaise with every person and family in advance to ensure our facilities and care specialisms meet their requirements, including for prospective residents with ongoing health conditions or dementia, with a structured process to put a personalised care plan in place.

Belmont Lodge has a multidisciplinary care team that focuses on warmth and friendships, ensuring that practical and personal care is delivered with kindness and respect. Residents are encouraged to visit us before their moving-in day with their loved ones to explore our suites and gardens, meet some of the care team, and ask any questions they might have.

Due to demand, we often have a waiting list but do everything possible to accommodate new enquiries. To avoid disappointment, we recommend getting in touch as soon as possible if you anticipate needing a room at Belmont Lodge. In the meantime, our administrator or manager will be happy to arrange a convenient time for an in-person visit and a guided tour so you can see how a typical day might look.
