Welcome to Warren Lodge Care Centre, a fully regulated, high-quality private care facility specialising in compassionate care for adults 65 and above and residents with progressive conditions such as dement

ia. Our long-serving teams of skilled nurses and carers are known for their warmth, kindness and respectful approach, offering 24-hour support on a personalised basis.
Located in Wokingham, Berkshire, we are incredibly fortunate to have a beautiful property and gardens with views over the Royal Berkshire countryside, adding to the sense of relaxation, calm and quiet care we foster – assisting with post-operative recovery, long-term and palliative care alongside respite care for family caregivers.
Throughout the Lodge, we have 51 private suites, with a personal-use bathroom for every resident. Each room enjoys the same picturesque views, and residents have complete autonomy over how they spend their days – whether they’d like to recline in their room with a good book or TV show, entertain visiting friends and family in the gardens, or join in with entertainment and meals in our airy communal spaces.
We regularly screen series, movies and sports on the widescreen TV, welcome entertainers and musical performers, and hold engaging events for residents to enjoy, from quiz nights and arts and crafts sessions to inclusive barbecues and garden parties in pleasant weather.
While the practical care needs and health of all residents are paramount, we endeavour to enrich our residents’ quality of life, catering as needed to all mobility restrictions, communication needs, and disabilities to remove barriers to participation.
Residents are actively encouraged to share their routines and pastimes, whether they’d love to help in the gardens, arrange a visit to the cinema or local shops, keep up with a sports league or football team, or would like help exploring the wide range of books in our library to find a favourite author. The on-site salon is also a popular service, offering manicures and blow-dries.
Every resident is different, and we put as much care and thought into meals and catering as into care planning and monitoring. Person-centred care is just that; there is no predefined routine or schedule a person should follow, and instead, we help much or as little as each resident would like, empowering them to retain independence as they wish.
Meals and dining are a big part of life at Warren Lodge, and we use a reputable catering partner who specialises in nutritious, tasty food for the healthcare sector. All our meals and snacks are balanced and adapted to the resident based on their likes and dislikes, dietary needs, and any medical considerations.

I was impressed with the light, airy and comfortable feel of the home, combined with the beautiful setting and the manager’s ethos.
We are more than happy with the care and attention for all the residents, with a wonderful atmosphere. The grounds are perfect for activities.
I am warmly welcomed by the staff from the moment I arrive. The home is well decorated and always, I see light and airy. It is always clean and smells refreshing.
It is a happy place, very welcoming. Always the same member of staff around to help you with a smile on their face. The managers are always very approachable and helpful too.
The care assessments and communication processes before admission to Warren Lodge are key to our approach, where we take all the time needed to meet with prospective residents and their loved ones, listen to their priorities and needs, and advise whether we have the capacity, knowledge and expertise within our superb care and nursing teams to meet their requirements.
Our dedicated manager and care coordinators offer guided tours of the centre, our private rooms, and the grounds to ensure all new residents have met some of the team, are comfortable that Warren Lodge is the right environment for them, and are welcomed by a friendly face on moving-in day.
As a private 24/7 care centre, we often meet directly with families or individuals in need of care. Still, we also try to cater to all referrals and emergency admissions wherever possible, noting that we have a fixed number of accommodation suites and will never exceed this for safety and care quality reasons.
Moving-in day itself can be emotional and challenging for all loved ones, and our empathetic and comforting care teams are here to help, answering any questions, offering practical support, furnishing and decorating each room, and ensuring new residents feel safe, welcome and happy throughout.
Maintaining an individual lifestyle and routine is essential, and we strongly believe that a sense of community, inclusivity, and friendship matters to every resident, no matter their age, health, or mobility. Activities held here in the centre include games and quizzes, flower arranging and art sessions, handicrafts, and other hands-on workshops, which residents are very welcome to try even for the first time.
Guest performers are a popular part of our entertainment programme and can range from live singers and musicians to speakers and bands. Accommodations are made to ensure all can join in, watch, or sing along. Day trips are also readily available, with a range of great shops nearby or an evening at the cinema to catch up with the latest releases or revisit the classics.
We respect all religions and faiths and can organise services to ensure residents can observe their beliefs. We welcome residents to join our residents association should they have ideas, requests, or suggestions they’d like to put forward.
Our facilities include an extensive selection of computer games, books, and DVDs, as well as a fast internet connection for residents to use their own devices or browse and play games online. Residents who prefer a quieter afternoon activity might choose to relax in the patio garden, watch the widescreen TV in our lounge, or socialise with a board or card game in our dining room.

The care facilities and support services we provide are held to our exacting standards, with highly trained care teams and visiting therapists who can assist older adults, residents with physical disabilities, people living with dementia and other ongoing conditions, and those needing compassionate end-of-life care.
Warren Lodge offers around-the-clock care with GP medical cover and arranges regular visits from a local chiropodist, dentist, optician, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist to ensure residents do not need to leave the centre to access professional help or attend routine check-ups.
Each member of our care team is fully screened, vetted, and selected for their warmth and demeanour. They adhere to our commitment to well-managed care delivered with kindness and respect.
All of Warren Lodge’s private suites are fitted with a call button system to enable residents to summon help, comfort, or assistance at any time. Carers offer assistance with morning and evening routines, mealtimes, bathroom visits, and skin integrity management as standard.
