Welcome to Pinehurst Care Centre in Berkshire. Situated in the leafy village of Crowthorne, our well-maintained facility offers 24-hour care for people over the age of 65, and in particular those living with Dementia. We are blessed with a long-serving team of nursing and support staff that provide high-quality, person-centred care within our homely environment. We offer short-term and long-term, respite and post-operative care.
Pinehurst comprises 47 en-suite bedrooms, split across 3 houses. We encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While our bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, our bright and attractive lounge areas offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of our guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.
At Pinehurst, we encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of our activities take place within the home environment and include garden parties, barbecues, arts/crafts and quiz nights. We empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Our residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street and local amenities all within a short distance.
Our professional catering team deliver nutritionally balanced meals that are appealing for our residents. Our professional food suppliers specialise in delivering high-quality food designed specifically for the healthcare sector.
We warmly welcome you to Pinehurst where you can learn more about the caring life we offer.
The home has a real 'family feel' about it and every member of staff I have met show care with and compassion and with good humour.
Every day my Dad is cheerful, happy and enjoying the various activities that are organised, from chats, exotic animals visiting and days out, to Zumba, Pilates and singing.
I call in frequently and have found the staff consistently warm, friendly and welcoming. All residents are treated with care, encouraged to take part in activities.
The staff at Pinehurst are outstanding and mum is clearly happy, settled and well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend the home.
All potential residents have their needs thoroughly assessed by our multidisciplinary team. We need to assure ourselves that Pinehurst is suitable for their care and note any specific care that is appropriate.
Our staff often work with the resident prior to admission, to ensure that all care needs are thoroughly understood to enable a seamless transfer.

Nothing we can say on this website can convey the understanding, warmth and care that our staff have for our residents. Our reputation is one we are very proud of and as rooms are in very short supply we often have to operate a waiting list. It is best if you meet with us at your earliest opportunity to register your interest. Please visit Pinehurst Care Home at any time, however as we are a busy home it’s best to telephone and arrange a visit with our manager or member of the team, who will show you around.
My care back ground started in 1986 after I had my children. I worked in a large nursing home as a Senior Carer working nights. NVQ 1 was introduced I started studying to further my knowledge. In 1991I moved out to Berkshire and worked at a local care home for twelve years where I continued to progress my education completing NVQ 2,3,4 and my R.M.Award. After this I was given opportunity to work at a specialist Dementia care home as their Centre Manager in a turnaround role. I did this for two and a half years before joining the Pinehurst Care Centre in 2009 where I have had the most wonderful journey and met some incredible people along the way.
