Pinehurst Care Centre is a dedicated care home facility with 24-hour services providing compassionate, high-quality support for older adults, including specialist Dementia care. We are located in the quiet village of Crowthorne, Berkshire, with 47 en-suite residential rooms spread across three spacious buildings.
The team at Pinehurst is committed to person-first care and fosters a warm and calm environment where everyone is treated with respect, kindness and dignity. Our professional care services span short and long-term residential care, postoperative and respite support, tailored to the needs of each resident and their family.
Every resident who joins us here at Pinehurst is encouraged to furnish their private suite to their tastes, with furniture and possessions that ensure the space feels familiar, comfortable and relaxing.
Rooms are tranquil and designed for rest, complemented by modern, bright and airy lounges to ensure residents can spend time with friends, enjoy our broad range of entertainment, or catch up with their favourite series, sports or movies.
En-suite bathrooms provide privacy and independence. Our skilled care teams are on hand to help with every practicality as required, from bathing and using the facilities to dressing, grooming and other personal care requirements.
Our responsibility is to ensure every resident enjoys the best quality of life possible, whether they need gentle support with mobility and dining or have complex needs. Our highly trained carers create a personalised lifestyle programme for each individual, balancing practical requirements with tastes, preferences and the freedom to choose those hobbies or activities they most enjoy.
We provide a mixed and diverse activity programme, adapted to each resident, from garden parties and BBQs to arts, crafts and inclusive quiz evenings, with a fantastic array of on-site services provided by our high-quality beauty salon.
Pinehurst is perfectly situated for local residents engaged in the community, just a short distance from all the amenities and high street, with our enthusiastic team to provide support with shopping trips, social occasions and other events.
The in-house catering team at Pinehurst Care Centre creates tasty, nutritious and balanced meals made with fresh ingredients and adjusted to cater to every dietary requirement, health condition or likes and dislikes.
We believe that home-cooked, fresh dining can make a considerable difference to every meal. We use experienced suppliers focused on providing foods and ingredients suitable for healthcare needs to ensure each dish is flavourful and supports overall well-being.
All prospective residents, friends and family are welcome to visit Pinehurst to learn more about what we do, explore our unique care environment, or meet some of our incredible care and support teams.

The home has a real 'family feel' about it and every member of staff I have met show care with and compassion and with good humour.
Every day my Dad is cheerful, happy and enjoying the various activities that are organised, from chats, exotic animals visiting and days out, to Zumba, Pilates and singing.
I call in frequently and have found the staff consistently warm, friendly and welcoming. All residents are treated with care, encouraged to take part in activities.
The staff at Pinehurst are outstanding and mum is clearly happy, settled and well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend the home.
Moving into residential care, whether for a shorter postoperative stay or longer term, can be a significant transition. We adopt a thorough assessment process to ensure we have the facilities to provide the best level of support through our multidisciplinary team.
Before moving in, we consult carefully to verify that our care services and accommodation are the right fit for each resident and take great care to explore and understand care needs, personal requirements and other factors to craft a bespoke and person-first care approach.
For residents joining Pinehurst from hospital, or another care facility, we do everything possible to make the move seamless and stress-free, providing support and reassurance at every step alongside a characteristically friendly welcome. Our staff dedicate their time to helping every person get to know their new surroundings, settle into their suite, and make new friends.
Pathways may follow a personal tour of the centre, include referrals by the individual, family members, or health professionals, and include assistance and discussions around funding options.
Visitors are very welcome but note that we often have a waiting list and recommend prospective residents and their loved ones contact us as soon as they can to register their interest.
Please get in touch to arrange a convenient time to come and meet us and tour our care centre – we will ensure a manager or team member is available to show you around and answer all the questions you may wish to ask.
While Pinehurst Care Centre residents are aged over 65, we recognise that engagement, socialisation, fun and enjoyment are essential parts of life at any age, and we work diligently to acknowledge preferences, support a routine and introduce activities and pastimes that add value and enjoyment.
Current popular activities and events that feature in our calendar include:
We arrange monthly church services and actively encourage residents to let us know what they would like to do, whether relaxing and watching a TV show or visiting the local village shops for a little retail therapy.
A combination of physical and mental stimulation is important, keeping our residents active and engaged, and we love to organise al fresco dining in our beautiful gardens during the summer weather, which our residents look forward to.
Every activity or event is entirely optional, and where some residents prefer a quieter environment, we respect these choices and always listen attentively to each individual to ensure they are comfortable, happy and relaxed.
Many relish the opportunity to learn new talents such as flower arranging, enjoy the excitement of live music and performers, or show off their knowledge and expertise through quiz nights, which bring the Pinehurst community together and ensure everybody has something to join in with.
Our outstanding care services are adapted to each resident, including 24-hour care, GP cover, and capable support with emergency admissions and postoperative care to support a swift, safe recovery and crisis interventions.
We also provide empathetic continuing and end-of-life care, with a full team of visiting therapists alongside our in-house colleagues, including a district nurse, chiropodist, optician and occupational therapist.
As a residential care home, we can provide an array of specialist services, with a comprehensive screening process to ensure every Pinehurst team member has the character, kindness and aptitudes to deliver person-first care to our high standards.
Pinehurst Care Centre provides a full range of services, including:
Alongside our experienced care staff, we also provide fantastic facilities and amenities, from a visiting hairdresser to our inviting dining room with views over the grounds, social and bright lounges, and quieter TV areas.
Residents can choose to take in the fresh air throughout our well-maintained gardens, relax with a favourite book in our reading nooks, indulge in pampering beauty treatments, and invite their loved ones for regular visits, with plenty of on-site parking for every guest.
