Grace Manor Care Centre – Gillingham

348 Grange Road
Gillingham Kent ME7 2UD
United Kingdom

Grace Manor Care Centre is a private, 24-hour nursing home facility in our beautiful period property with extensive grounds and gardens for residents to enjoy. Our care and nursing teams specialise in caring for residents over 55, with a warm, friendly approach that helps every valued resident feel part of the Grace Manor community.

Care services are always person-centred, where we get to know the personalities, preferences and interests of residents to cater to their hobbies and passions, alongside dedicated support for residents with conditions such as dementia, those recovering from a hospital stay and older adults in need of compassionate long-term care in a nursing facility.

Private Nursing Care in the Heart of Kent

Our location in Gillingham, a Medway market town, is in proximity to nearby parks, the waterfront, and shopping areas, ensuring our residents have a range of trips and excursions to choose from. While we focus on respectful care to protect the safety, comfort and well-being of all residents, we place great value on activities and engagement to advocate for independent decision-making and superb quality of life at any age.

Throughout the property, we offer 57 private accommodation suites, many with en suite bathing facilities for the resident’s personal use, alongside 12 rooms within our specialist dementia unit, where we provide nursing, companionship, and care, drawing on the skills and years of expertise our care teams offer.

Comfortable, Compassionate 24/7 Nursing Care

Each resident is actively encouraged to furnish and decorate their room or suite to their tastes, whether they’d like to bring some possessions and furniture, would like to be surrounded by photos of their loved ones, or wish to bring craft items to ensure Grace Manor feels like a true home.

We have a range of comfy sitting rooms and a bright dining space, where residents come together for meals, invite their friends and family to visit and enjoy an afternoon tea, catch up on their favourite movies or sports events, or settle down to watch entertainers and musical performances which form part of our entertainment schedule.

High-Quality Residential Nursing Care

All of the care services, accommodation and emotional support we provide are adapted to the wishes and needs of the individual, with a professional catering team who specialise in high-quality meal preparation to ensure dining is equally tasty and healthy. We can cater to all dietary and healthcare requirements, giving full assistance to every resident who requires help at mealtimes.

Grace Manor’s care teams provide individualised assistance and empower residents to remain as independent as possible, with lifestyle facilities such as a beauty salon, wide-screen TVs, excursions to local shopping areas and the beach, and supported activities here in the care centre, from quiz nights and arts sessions to summer barbecues in the gardens.

Customer Feedback

We never underestimate the complexity of the transition into a nursing home, and work closely with individuals, loved ones and healthcare professionals to ensure our multidisciplinary care team has the resources, expertise and condition-specific services to look after the needs, long-term well-being and comfort of each prospective resident.

Care planning is key, where we log every detail, from medications and rehabilitation support that has been prescribed or recommended, the likes and dislikes of the individual, and the tasks or aspects of their daily routine a person may need ongoing help with. Residents and loved ones are asked to participate in care planning, which is adapted as needed over time.

Organising a visit to Grace Manor is highly recommended, giving you and your family the opportunity to experience a guided tour with one of the care team or our care centre manager, exploring the facilities, private rooms, communal spaces and amenities we offer.

During a visit, we will invite you to discuss your needs and suggest getting in touch at your earliest convenience if you have an urgent care requirement or anticipate needing nursing care in the near future. Due to demand, we often have a waiting list, but we can discuss your care needs confidentially. We aim to accommodate all emergency care requirements wherever possible.

Meet the manager

Gabriele Jerome

All my life I wanted to care for older adults and make a difference in their life. Becoming a home manager was the ultimate way to do so. However, being a home manager is so much more than looking after older adults and I realised that looking after your staff is paramount to delivering good quality care. Creating an open and honest culture with staff, recognising their achievements and actively engaging, supporting staff and valuing staff is paramount. If you have a happy and content staff team, you have happy residents.

I believe a manager should be a great role model who is passionate, hands-on and motivated with a great sense of humour. Grace Manor Care Centre is our older adult’s nursing home, we are proud of our warm and welcoming environment and we will always be here for a chat. It is important that both our residents and their families are included and feel at home. It is always the highlight of my role to see these residents smiling and laughing again.
